4.9 Interrupt processing
4.9.2 Wakeup interrupt (WI)

The WI is an wakeup request from the WKUP pin. It is only used to request return from standby mode.

In standby mode, when an "L" level is input to the WKUP pin, the same EIT processing is carried out as

when an "L" level signal is input to the RST pin, except that the contents of the internal DRAM and the
power management control register are retained.
[Occurrence condition]

When the M32000D3FP is in standby mode and an "L" level signal is input to the WKUP pin, the
wakeup interrupt is always accepted for each machine cycle.

The WI is accepted only in standby mode. When in normal mode, an "L" level input to the WKUP
pin is ignored.
[EIT processing]
(1) SM, IE and C bit initialization
The SM, IE and C bits in the PSW register are initialized.

When an wakeup interrupt occurs, the values of the BSM, BIE and BC bits are undefined.
(2) Branching to the EIT vector entry
Processing branches to address H’7FFF FFF0 in user space as with a reset interrupt. When set
in slave mode, the M32000D3FP waits without executing any process until an external interrupt is
input. It executes the branch on receipt of the interrupt.
(3) Branching from the EIT vector entry to the user program
The M32000D3FP executes the BRA instruction written in address H'7FFF FFF0 (reset vector
entry) of the EIT vector entry and branches to the top address of the reset handler. In the reset
handler, the PSW register and the SPI should be initialized, the contents of the MPMR register
checked and then branch to either the top address of the user program or the program for returning
from standby mode.
