3. Bus Operation
This chapter presents a summary of the PCI and PCI-X transactions, transaction forwarding across the IBM
133 PCI-X Bridge R2.0, and transaction termination.
3.1 Types of Transactions
transaction type, the middle two columns indicate whether the IBM 133 PCI-X Bridge R2.0 can initiate the
transaction as a master on the primary bus and on the secondary bus; the last two columns indicate whether
the bridge responds to the transaction as a target on the primary bus and on the secondary bus.
