Statistics Counters
The L64381 provides the following statistics maintained in 25 32-bit
counters. In this section, unless otherwise stated, the size of a packet
includes the Source and Destination Fields, the Length or Type field, the
Data and the Frame Check Sequence fields, but does not include the
Preamble and Start of Frame Delimiter fields. All Statistics are updated
after an attempt to transfer or receive the packet is made, regardless of
whether the attempt was successful or not. The Statistics Counters must
be initialized before they can be used. To initialize the counters, write all
zeros to all memory locations in the Statistics Counters. Each counter
has a unique address that is stored in the Statistics Counter Address
Register. Table 5.1 lists all the Statistics Counters, their contents, and
brief descriptions.
