Using Synchronous Burst Mode
Synchronous burst mode provides a performance increase over asynchronous page-mode reads. It
supports effective zero wait-state performance up to 40 MHz. This read mode is only supported
from main blocks, and is not supported from other locations within the device, such as parameter
blocks, the device identification mode, Query information, and Status Register. However, read
operations from these locations while in synchronous burst mode transpire as single synchronous
