Reload EEPROM – When this bit is set the SerialStat.Done bit is
automatically cleared and the EEPROM values are reloaded via the
two-wire serial interface. This bit is self-clearing.

indicate the completion of the serial EEPROM download. This bit is also
set if no EEPROM is detected.

Software reset A write to the software reset register results in a global
synchronous reset. All storage elements in the device, including configu-
ration registers is reset to initial conditions. If an EEPROM is present, the
EEPROM download commences following the software reset.
