1.6 PLL ConTguration
The MPC107s internal PLL is conTgured by the PLL_CFG[0D3] signals. For a given PCI_SYNC_IN (PCI
bus) frequency, the PLL conTguration signals set the Core/Memory/Processor PLL (VCO) frequency of
operation for the PCI-to-Core/Memory/Processor frequency multiplying, if any. The PLL conTgurations for
the MPC107 is shown in Table 18.

Caution: The PCI_SYNC_IN frequency and PLL_CFG[0D3] settings must be chosen such that the resulting
core/memory/processor frequency and PLL (VCO) frequencies do not exceed their respective maximum or
minimum operating frequencies shown in Figure 7.
PLL_CFG[0D3] settings not listed (0100, 0110, 0111, 1010, 1011, and 1110) are reserved.
In PLL Bypass mode, the PCI_SYNC_IN input signal clocks the internal core directly, the PLL is disabled, and
the PCI:core mode is set for 1:1 mode operation. The AC timing speciTcations given in this document do not
apply in PLL Bypass mode.
In Clock Off mode, no clocking occurs inside the MPC107 regardless of the PCI_SYNC_IN input.
Limited due to maximum memory VCO = 200 MHz.
Limited due to minimum memory VCO = 100 MHz.
