Digital Video Input
Digital video input supports signals in interlace and progress scan types.
The data formats that are allowed for input are 24-bit RGB or YCbCr 4:4:4, 16-bit YCbCr 4:2:2, and 8-bit ITU-R
BT.656 formats.
The digital video input data are sent to the subsequent scaler section directly without passing through a video
decoder.
Synchronization Control for Video Input
Synchronous signals of analog video input are generated by being separated from the composite synchronous
signals that were superimposed on the composite video signal, Y signal, or G signal input. For the clock, an
external input clock or the clock generated by HPLL is used.
Synchronous signals of digital video input are extracted from the timing reference code (SAV or EAV) that is
multiplexed with the input data in ITU-R BT.656 format. In other cases, synchronous signal input pins, VHS,
VVS, and VFID are used. As the clock, VCLK input is used.
A valid video area (Active Video) can be specified using the relative position from the horizontal/vertical
synchronous signal and the size of the area.
