FUNCTIONAL PIN DESCRIPTION
CURRENT SENSE AMPLIFIER INPUT PINS
(ISENSEH AND ISENSEL)
ISENSEH and ISENSEL are the input pins of a ground
compatible differential amplifier designed to be used to sense
the voltage drop over a shunt resistor. The main purpose of
this amplifier is to implement accurate current sensors. The
gain of the differential amplifier can be set by SPI.
WATCHDOG CONFIGURATION PIN (WDCONF)
External pin used to configure the window watchdog
function. When connected directly to the ground, this pin
disables the watchdog function. When this pin is detected
floating, the internal watchdog switches to an internally
generated lower precision time-base.
CURRENT SENSE AMPLIFIER OUTPUT PIN
(ADOUT1)
Analog interface to the microcontroller A/D converter.
Allows the MCU to read the output of the current sense
amplifier.
ANALOG MULTIPLEXER OUTPUT (ADOUT0)
This output is not available externally and internally
connected to the PTB0/AD0 MCU A/D converter input. The
analog multiplexer can be configured via the SPI to read the
Vsense, L1, L2, L3, L4 input voltages and the internal junction
temperature.
RESET PIN (RST_A)
This bidirectional pin is used to reset the MCU die, in case
the analog die detects a reset condition, or to inform the
analog die that the MCU die has just being reset. After
releasing the RST_A Pin, Normal Request mode is entered.
The RST_A pin is an active low filtered input and output
formed by a weak pull-up, and a switchable pull-down
structure, which allows this pin to be shorted either to VDD or
to GND during development, without risking destroying the
driver.
INTERRUPT OUTPUT PIN (IRQ_A)
IRQ_A is a digital output used to signal events while in
Normal and Normal-Request mode, or to signal a wake-up
from Stop mode. This active low output will transit to high only
after the interrupt is acknowledged by a SPI read of the
respective status bits.
