Table 3. List of PE Commands

Reset the PE

s operation and communication sta-
tus to its default configuration.
Stop the operation of the PE. IrDA Control IR com-
munication cannot take place under this status, how-
ever the power consumption of PE will be minimum.
Start new Enumeration. After successfully enu-
merated, will also Bind.
Start new Enumeration.
Configure the PE
’
s operation mode.
PE to output its current operation mode to the μP.
Request PE for data transmission. PE will send
this data to Host device. The data transaction over
SS-wire is guaranteed.
Request PE for data transmission. PE will send
this data to Host device.
Make PE output is Message. Upon receiving this
Command, PE will output the Message that it cur-
rently holds, to the μP. PE will drive the MSG sig-
nal line to H while holding Messages.
