WaveStream technology is integrated into a Windows audio driver at VxD and DLL levels. The WaveStream VxD houses the
wavetable engine, digital mixer, and low-level emulation portions of the technology. The WaveStream DLL manages all disk
I/O and engine control.

WaveStream Monitor
The WaveStream Monitor utility can be used to view the activity of the WaveStream synthesizer engine. There are a number
of different functions that are displayed by the Monitor:
MIDI channels
Instruments loaded per channel
CPU usage
Effects modules
The instruments are dynamically loaded and unloaded as a musical score is played. This is a feature of WaveStream's
advance disk-caching capabilities.

Mega WaveStream Professional Software Wavetable Synthesis
RipTide breaks through the memory barrier with Mega WaveStream - to deliver instrument samples of unlimited size and
unparalleled quality.
Mega WaveStream uses sampling techniques such as Behavioral Sampling, instrument layering and stereo samples.
Musical data is not edited with artificial looping, filtering and processing to conserve system RAM, because all audio demands
are met by massive sound libraries that reside on the hard drive.
Current conventional solutions are limited to mono sound sets stored in available RAM or ROM - usually only a few
megabytes. However, Mega WaveStream can play back stereo sound sets directly from the hard disk with instrument layering
and Behavioral Sampling, providing gigabytes of sound. The required instruments are read from a huge sample library on the
hard disk, thus the PC becomes the world’s biggest sound palette. This dramatically enhances instrument sound quality and
behavioral characteristics, to allow expressive and subtle musical nuances and capture the true essence of each instrument.
