MISCELLANEOUS RECEIVER STATES
In addition to the warm up and shut down states, the S5T8701 has four other receiver states. When these
settings are applied to the receiver control lines, the S5T8701 will be decoding the
EXTS1
and
EXTS0
input
signals. The timing of these signals and their duration depends on the data the S5T8701 decodes. The four
settings are as follows:
1600sps Sync Setting:
This setting is applied when the S5T8701 is searching for a 1600 symbols per
second signal.
3200sps Sync Setting:
This setting is applied when the S5T8701 is searching for a 3200 symbols per
second signal.
1600sps Data Setting:
This setting is applied after the S5T8701 has found the C or C sync word in a 1600
symbols per second frame.
3200sps Data Setting:
This setting is applied after the S5T8701 has found the C or C sync word in a 3200
symbols per second frame.
Some examples of how these settings will be used in the S5T8701 are shown In figure 14 on page 58.

LOW BATTERY DETECTION
The S5T8701 can be configured to poll the
LOBAT
input pin at the end of every receiver control setting. This
check can be enabled or disabled for each receiver control setting. If the poll is enabled for a setting, the pin will
be read just before the S5T8701 changes the receiver control lines from that setting to another setting. The
S5T8701 will send a Status Packet whenever the value on two consecutive reads of the
LOBAT
pin yields
different results.
