Pin 39 (ENVOUT) or bit CALR of the read byte can be monitored to check for successful completion of the calibration.
It is advised to keep CALS logic 1 after calibration to ensure a reliable CALR state.
After a change of bit CALS from logic 0 to logic 1, an automatic frequency calibration is performed setting hi-fi
modem, band-pass filter and noise reduction. Use of auto-calibration is only needed after power-up of the supply
voltage (POR).

To maximize the output drive when using 12 V supply voltage (V

; pin 35), the DC level of outputs LINEL, LINER,
DECL and DECR (pins 15, 16, 18 and 19) can be changed using bit VCCH.
Use of the power mute function (bit MUTE of the control byte) ensures disturbance-free switching of the line output
signal when setting VCCH after power-up.
