The QuickFC family of Embedded Standard Products
(ESPs) combines a Fibre Channel encoder/decoder
(ENDEC) with high-performance programmable logic
and SRAM, resulting in a fully customizable solution for
serial communications systems.
The ENDEC is based on industry-leading gigabit-rate
technology and supports standard Fibre Channel
performance rates of 1.06 and 2.125 Gbps.
The customizable portion of the device consists of
132,000 system gates of customizable logic and over
25,000 bits of dual-port embedded SRAM.
QuickFC products support up to 2.5 Gbps data
transfer rates making the devices ideal for designs
that require customization to the standard Fibre
Channel protocol or implementation of any high
speed serial link. These include applications for
proprietary storage networks, custom RAID
architectures and FC to SCSI bus interfaces. The
QuickFC family includes a reference development kit,
designed to dramatically reduce time-to-market for
products requiring customized Fibre Channel solutions
or any high-speed serial link.
