Pico Technology offers two types of probe: our oscillosopes can
also be used with any standard scope probes.
X1 /X10probe
Scope Probes
The USB to Serial Converter allows you to use all Pico Technology
serial devices such as TC-08, RH-02, TH-03 ADC-16 and
EnviroMon through the USB port on your PC. Installation is simple.
Plug your serial device into the Converter. Plug the converter
into your computer. Insert the disk. With USB technology, there
are no IRQ conflicts and no COM Port conflicts.
The USB to serial converter allows multiple
products to be used on the same PC
without plugging in cards & gets around
the problem of adding more serial
ports into laptops.

This is a standard x1 / x10
oscilloscope probe, with a 60MHz
bandwidth.
Please note that the x10 function will not work with the ADC-10
or ADC-12 as the input impedance of these devices is not the
same as a standard oscilloscope.
X10 / X100 probe
The ADF25A is an active scope
probe for use with the Pico range
of virtual instruments. It permits the
measurement of signals using a conventional earthed
oscilloscope, this enables mains voltages to be tested. It is
possible to measure and observe the waveforms of three phase
supplies or the gate / control signals of semiconductor circuits.
It is ideal for investigation of motor speed controls, uninterruptible
power supplies, switch mode power supplies and process
controllers.
The probe comprises a dual differential balanced input circuit
with switch selectable attenuation of 10:1 or 100:1. The output
is fed to the unit via a coaxial cable terminated with a BNC plug.

USB - Serial Port Adaptor
Test Leads
A range of leads is available to facilitate connection of voltage
signals to any product with a BNC input. We supply BNC to
4mm plugs, BNC to BNC plug and BNC to crocodile clips. All
leads are 1.8m in length.
Some of our products require a 12V power supply. To enable the
units to be used out in the field with a laptop PC (or anywhere
where there is no mains supply available) a battery pack is
available. It is the same size as an ADC-200 and plugs into the
DC socket on the back of the ADC. It will run an ADC-2xx for
approximately 5 hours from a full charge. A full charge takes 4 to
5 hours using our standard power supply.

Dual Computer Ports
Pico supplies dual parallel and serial ports to enable an increased
number of our products to be used with a single PC. Requires a
PC with a free ISA slot.
Rechargeable Battery Pack
Cigar Lighter Power Lead
Pico’s range of high resolution and high speed oscilloscopes
are usually powered using the supplied mains adaptor.
If however you would like to use any of
the scopes on the move with a laptop,
this handy lead allows you to power
them from the car’s cigar lighter socket.
