a. A maximumof 36 x 50,000 block endurance cycles is allowed. This may be balanced between operations on 36x1 blocks of 50,000 maximumcycles each, 36x2 blocks of
25,000 maximumcycles each, or 36x4 blocks of 12,500 maximumcycles each (and so forth to limt the total number of cycles to 36x50,000 and that no single block ever
sees more than 50,000 cycles).
The PSoC devices use an adaptive algorithmto enhance endurance over the industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C ambient). Any temperature range within a 50°C
span between 0°C and 85°C is considered constant with respect to endurance enhancements. For instance, if roomtemperature (25°C) is the nomnal operating tempera-
ture, then the range from0°C to 50°C can be approximated by the constant value 25 and a temperature sensor is not needed.
For the full industrial range, the user must employ a temperature sensor user module (FlashTemp) and feed the result to the temperature argument before writing. Refer to
the Flash APIs Application Note AN2015 at http://wwwcypress.comunder Application Notes for more information.
