Watchdog Reset
When the Watchdog times out, it will generate a short reset pulse of one CK cycle duration. On
the falling edge of this pulse, the delay timer starts counting the Time-out period t
TOUT. Refer to
Section 3.13.3 “Timer0 with Watchdog/Interval Timer” on page 73 for details on operation of the
Watchdog Timer.

3.9.2.5
Temperature Shutdown Reset
An internal temperature shutdown circuit avoids an undefined device operation above the nor-
mal operation temperature range. In case the ambient temperature exceeds the specified
threshold temperature (T
SD ≈
120°C, not calibrated yet in production), the device can be forced
into Reset state and the flag is set. This will immediately stop device operation. As a result, all
chip circuitry and port lines are disabled, including the Interval Timer. Once the device has
entered Temperature Shutdown mode only the temperature sensor circuitry is active.
