Collision and
Activity LEDs

The collision and activity LEDs are on a Per Segment
basis. Pulse stretchers are used to extend the on-
time for the LEDs. For every on-cycle of the stretched
LEDs, an off-cycle, with the same period as the on-
cycle, always follows.
The collision LEDs turn on for approximately 120
μ
s
when the LXT98x0 detects a collision on the
segments. During the time that the LED is on, any
additional collisions are ignored by the collision LED
logic.
The activity LEDs turn on for approximately 4 ms
when the LXT98x0 detects any activity on the
segments. During the time that the LED is on, any
additional activity is ignored by the activity LED logic.
