7.10 Edge Detection Function
The interrupt input pins (NMI and INTP0 through INTP5) are used not only to input interrupt requests but also to
input trigger signals to the internal hardware units. Because these pins operate at an edge of the input signal, they
have a function to detect an edge. Moreover, a noise reduction circuit is also provided to prevent erroneous detection
due to noise.

7.11 Watchdog Timer
A watchdog timer is provided to detect a hang up of the CPU. This watchdog timer generates a non-maskable
interrupt unless it is cleared by software within a specified interval time. Once enabled to operate, the watchdog timer
cannot be stopped by software. Whether the interrupt by the watchdog timer or the interrupt input from the NMI pin
takes precedence can be specified.
