5. 16-bit Timer (with Event Count Function)
The 16-bit timer consists of a 16-bit down counter, a 16-bit reload register, one input and output pin (TIN
X
,TOT
X
),
and a control register. Three internal clocks and an external clock can be selected for the input clock. When in
reload mode, a toggled output waveform is output, while in one-shot mode a square wave indicating that the
count is in progress is output pin (TOT
X
). The input pin (TIN
X
) serves as an event input in event count mode, and
can be used for trigger input or gate input in internal clock mode.
