LC99403
No.A1065-2/12
Functions
SSG (Sync Signal Generator)/TG (Timing Generator)
All the pulses necessary for operating the CCD and various controls can be generated based on a reference clock.
AFE (Analog Front End)
A block that receives signals from the CCD and converts them to digital. It includes a CDS (Correlate Double
Sampling) for noise removal, a gain control, and an AD converter.
DC-DC Converter/Regulator
A DC-DC converter and a regulator are built-in; they generate all power voltages necessary for CCD and CCD-driver
circuit by +2.9V single power supply. In addition, an internal logic is operated in low voltage for reducing the power
consumption and the noise, and the built-in regulator also generates this power voltage. These circuits realize a system
of +2.9V single power supply.
ISP (Image Signal Processing)
In the built-in ISP block, gain correction, gamma correction, color tone correction, edge enhancement, and defective
pixel correction are performed for the CCD signal converted to digital, and then it is output in YUV format, etc.
The processing block for satisfying both of color imaging and infrared imaging is also built-in.
NTSC encoder
The digital signal converted in the ISP block is converted into the NTSC composite signal.
A converter circuit, a DA converter, and a 75
Ω driver are built-in.
Iris control, Gain control
Regardless of the brightness of a subject, the brightness of the image is constantly maintained by the exposure time
control with CCD electronic shutter function and gain control.
Formatter
Functions such as mirror output, conversion of output pixel, scaling, and image cropping are implemented.
I2C-Bus (Slave)
To control the system, various register settings can be read/written according to I
2C-Bus format by the customer.
I
2C-Bus is a format for serial communication recommended and controlled by Philips.
Power save
The power save function is provided to reduce the power consumption. The power consumption can be reduced by the
Stand-by control of the analog circuit, etc on short time basis.
