Overview
LC99403 is a peripheral LSI for CCD cameras, which supports LC99169 (Color) and LC99119 (B/W) for VGA CCD, and
LC99117 (B/W) for CIF CCD.
A high performance system with a single power supply is realized by the 2-chip configuration with CCD.
Features
In LC99403, voltage and drive pulses necessary for operating the CCD can be generated only by inputting a +2.9V power
supply and a reference clock.
Since analog signal processing, digital signal processing, and various control functions are built-in, signals from the CCD
can be converted to YUV or RGB digital signals and output only using this LSI. In addition, built-in NTSC encoder enables
output of the NTSC composite signal.
Since the above-mentioned CCD has a characteristic of extremely high sensitivity to near-infrared rays, the chipset is best
suited to realize the application that uses near-infrared rays.
Also, its unique color processing algorithm allows both the color imaging in bright light and the infrared imaging under low
light condition. The mechanical machinery such as taking in and out the IR cut filter is no longer necessary.
