Figure 9 shows a typical 3-wire input power supply with cascaded
LC EMI filters. The sum of common mode inductance L2 and
L3 should be 10 mH or less and L3 should be at least twice the
value of L2 to prevent superposition of filter resonant frequencies.
L2 will tend to have higher bandwidth and effectively filters
higher frequency common mode currents close to the input power
connection.
