Description
WiththeMELSECAnSsystem,MITSUBISHI
ELECTRICpresentsitsmostcompactmod-
ularPLC,permittingaccesstotheworldof
networktechnology.
Thesmallsizeandthecommunications
capabilityaretwoimportantcharacte-
risticsoftheMELSECAnS.Itscompactness
ensuresthatitoccupieslessspaceinthe
switchgearcabinetanditsdiversecommu-
nicationfacilitiesguaranteeflexibilityand
openness.Expandablefrom32to1024in-
puts/outputs,thiscontrollerisparticularly
suitableforperformingsmalltomedium
automationtasks,veryfastautomation
alsobeingpossiblewiththeA2ASCPU.
Theindividualsystemscanbeinstalledina
localnetwork(MELSECNET),enabling
themtocommunicatewithoneanother.
ThenumberofI/Opointscanthusbe
increasedseveraltimesover.

oneanother.

TheAnSCPUsallhaveapermanently
installedRAMofupto256kbyteinwhich,
amongotherthings,thePLCprogramcan
besaved.However,EPROMandEEPROM
memorycassettesarealsoavailablefor
permanentstorage.

protectedbyanintegratedbackupbattery.
