Caution Work is not necessary in Mode = 5.
(4) Compliance with Exif standard
The AP705100-B03 and AP70732-B03 libraries use three quantization tables with the normal setting;
therefore an Exif-standard JPEG file cannot be expanded with them.
To enable the expansion, follow the steps below.
<1>
Cast the four bytes of DJInfo.IR[28] into unsigned char* type, and specify the four-letter key word
character string “Exif.”
<2>
Allocate 4224 bytes for the work area that is specified by member Work in the structure.
An example description is shown below.
*(unsigned char**)&(DJInfo.IR[28]) = “ Exif”
Caution This setting requires 4224 bytes (not 3968 bytes) for the external RAM work area. If
expansion is performed on this setting with the work area set to 3968 bytes, the next 256
bytes are overwritten without warning.
(5) Error value during expansion
The expansion routine of the library assigns the value of an error statement to member “ErrorState” of
the JPEGINFO structure and stops processing if the processing cannot be completed normally for some
reason. At this time, the routine returns JPEG_ERR as the return value.
The error statements that may be output are listed in the table below.
