6.7 Timer/Event Counter
The
μ
PD753036 has three channels of timer/event counters. The configuration is shown in Figures 6-6 through
6-8. The functions of the timer/event counter are as follows:
Programmable interval timer operation
Square wave output of any frequency to the PTOn pin. (n = 0-2)
Event counter operation
Divides the frequency of signal input via the TIn pin to 1-Nth of the original signal and outputs the divided
frequency to the PTOn pin (frequency division operation).
Supplies the serial shift clock to the serial interface circuit.
Reads the counting value.
The timer/event counter operates in the following four modes as set by the mode register.
