Overview
YDA153 (D-4H) is a digital audio power amplifier IC with maximum output of 2.6W (RL=4)×1ch.
YDA153 has a “Pure Pulse Direct Speaker Drive Circuit” which directly drives speakers while reducing distortion of
pulse output signal and reducing noise on the signal, and realizes the highest standard low distortion rate characteristics
and low noise characteristics among digital amplifier ICs for mobile use.
In addition, circuit design with fewer external parts can be made depend on the condition of use because it supports
filterless design.
YDA153 features “Non-Clip2” circuit which was developed with Yamaha original digital amplifier technology, and that
function could reduce distortion by automatically detecting power supply clip even when an input signal has such a high
amplitude level that output waveforms are power-supply clipped. Also the start point of the non-clip function is selectable,
which makes it possible to play in high quality sound and at higher output level. It is different than the existing AGC or
ALC as it can follow output-waveform clip that is caused by lowered supply voltage.
YDA153 has the power-down function that keeps standby power consumption to the minimum.
YDA153 also has such protective functions as overcurrent protection for speaker output pins, IC-inside overtemperatue
protection, low supply voltage malfunction prevention and clock halt protection.
