Overview:
The W62410 chip is a digital speech signal processor. The W62410 implements the STREAMTALK
speech compression, voice prompt processing, telephone line signal processing, AFlash and DRAM
memory management and 13 I/O lines all in one chip for a fully digital answering machine. The W62410
acts as a slave processor to its host. The W62410 can be driven through a serial bus or an 8 bit parallel bus
allowing the possibility for both 4 bit and 8 bit micro controllers to be used. Since the W62410 is a slave
to the host, the host is responsible for activating and deactivating all the functions the W62410 provides.
Since there are no moving parts, this all-digital solution results in a very high reliability.

messages (ICM) and memo recordings
completely managed by the W62410 chip.
Support for up to eight mailboxes completely
managed by the W62410 chip.
Support for up to 32 outgoing messages
(OGM’s).
STREAMTALK

prompts. Also allows variable pause lengths
between each word for Day/Time stamps and
voice instructions.
Variable speed playback without change of the
speakers pitch (50%-200%).
A very fast forward playback at 400% without
change of the speakers pitch.
DTMF generation and detection with near-end
echo cancellation for enhanced performance.
Extended DTMF support (generates and
detects A, B, C, and D tones).
Supports automatic Time Stamp tagging of a
message.
Caller ID 1 and Caller ID On Waiting
Demodulation supported. Both Bellcore 202
and V.23 Caller ID 1 and Caller On Waiting
for both USA (Bellcore 202 specification)
and UK (sin242 and sin247 specification).
Supports automatic Caller ID 1 tagging of a
message.
Support for up to four Samsung Flash
Memory
Devices
