4. INTERNAL CONTROL FUNCTIONS
The
μ
PD9930 can control internal functions by commands from a microcontroller. Commands consist of 8-
bit data (D7 to D0) consisting of register address and setting data, and are written in the following internal
registers.

In the case of registers (1), (2), and (9) to (11), written contents are executed instantly.

For registers (3) to (8) and (12), since fetch execution is made by the internal clock (125

If the write-in to the same register is executed continuously, the previous command may be ignored.

Even when in the stand-by mode, write-in to each internal register is possible (can be held), but the
command written in the register is executed only after clearing the stand-by mode.
