Fundamental Mode-suppressing Crystal Resonators (Overtone mode)
These fundamental mode-sup-
pressing crystal resonators are
designed to selectively suppress
the fundamental oscillation mode
of third-overtone crystal resona-
tors to ensure overtone oscilla-
tion. The resonators enable an
oscillation circuit without a tuning
coil to produce overtone-frequen-
cy oscillation, simplifying circuit
configuration and enabling adjust-
ment-free operation and system
downsizing. Thanks to our design
press spurious components in
overtone oscillation along with
the fundamental mode, and can
be used safely without frequency
jumps due to spurious compo-
nents in overtone oscillation.

The UM Series Resonators feature excellent frequency stability and are
suitable for pager and mobile radio applications. These highly impact-
resistant, reliable crystal resonators have been reduced in size without
trading off their electrical characteristics.
The HC Series Resonators are excellent in frequency stability and suit-
able as the reference clocks of microprocessors and other electronic
devices.
