MOTOR SELECTION
Some steppermotors are not designedforcontinu-
ous operation at maximum current. As the circuit
drivesaconstantcurrentthroughthemotor,its tem-
peraturemightincreaseexceedinglybothatlowand
high speed operation.
Also, some stepper motors have such high core
losses thattheyare not suitedfor switchmode cur-
rent regulation.
UNUSED INPUTS
Unusedinputsshouldbeconnectedtopropervoltage
levels in orderto get thehighestnoise immunity.
INTERFERENCE
As the circuit operates with switch mode current
regulation,interferencegenerationproblemsmight
arise in some applications. A good measure might
thenbeto decouplethecircuit with a 15nFceramic
capacitor,locatednearthepackagebetweenpower
line V

andground.
The ground lead between R

and circuit GND
should be kept as short as possible. This applies
alsototheleadbetweenthesensingresistorR

and
