IV - Character Sets
The complete character set with 8-bit decodingis
given in Tables 4, 5 and 6.
Characters in columns 0 and 1 are normally dis-
played asblanks. Black dotsrepresentthe charac-
ter shape whereas white dots represent the
background.
Each charactercan be identified by apair of corre-
sponding row and column integers : for example
the character”3” may be indicatedby 3/3.
Arectangle may be representedas follows:
The characters8/6, 8/7, 9/5, 9/7 are used as spe-
cial characters, alwaysin conjunctionwith 8/5.
The 13 national characters are placed in columns
with bit 8 = 0.
