Description
The R305 is a 00-pair high-density connector used on central office main distributing
frames. Its compact design, only 8.5-in. high, allows maximum density per frame vertical.
The connector accepts industry standard 5-pin protector modules.
The R305 can be factory stubbed with 22 or 24-gauge cable in 0-ft. increments, starting
at 20 feet. The stub is complete with a moisture dam and grounding harness. The connec-
tor has a 6AWG grounding system and is available with or without isolated ground.
The equipment field pins are located on the right side, and are angled forward for conve-
nient terminating. The equipment field dust cover swings out of the way for wiring, and
prevents personnel from coming in contact with the wiring field when pulling modules
from an adjacent connector. A fanning strip to organize jumper wires is located at the rear
edge of the equipment field. The front-facing test fields make field testing easy.
Application
The R305 protects personnel and equipment from abnormal voltages and currents on
incoming cable pairs. It is ideal for use in central offices. The R305 is used on conventional
distribution frames with 8-in. centers.
