The analog front ends PEB 22711
and PEB 22713 are part of Sie-
mens’ POTSWIRE
TM
ADSL
chipset. They are optimized for
use with the digital data pump
PEB 22712 but can also be used
in combination with other data
pumps.
Due to the asymmetry of ADSL
optimized analog front ends are
provided for central office (PEB
22711) and remote terminal appli-
cation (PEB 22713) . They are de-
signed to meet the high perfor-
mance requirements of ADSL
T1.413 Issue 2 modems while
keeping power dissipation at a
minimum. In order to support var-
ious power management con-
cepts each block can be set into
power down state independently.
The integrated filters can be pro-
grammed for ADSL over POTS or
ADSL over ISDN operation.
Due to an integrated analog echo
canceller the front ends provide
excellent performance on homo-
