The interrupt factor for the external interrupt circuit 2 is the L level input to the
external interrupt pins.
T Interrupt during external interrupt circuit 2 operation
When the L level is input to the external interrupt pin with interrupt input enabled, the external interrupt
request flag bit (EIF2: IF20) is set to 1, causing an interrupt request (IRQA) to the CPU. Write 0 to the
IF20 bit using the interrupt-processing routine to clear the interrupt request. When the external interrupt
request flag bit (IF20) is set to 1, the interrupt request occurs until the IF20 bit is cleared to 0 even when
the external interrupt input is disabled using the interrupt enable bits (IE20 to IE27) of the external
interrupt 2 control register (EIE2). Consequently, always clear the IF20 bit. Also, when the IF20 bit is
cleared with external interrupt input not disabled, it is set immediately if the external interrupt pin remains
at L level. Disable the external interrupt input or remove the cause of the external interrupt itself as
necessary.
Check: When enabling the CPU interrupt after canceling the reset, clear the IF20 bit in advance.
Remarks:
Input of the L level to each of the external interrupt pins ( -----------------
INT20 to
------------------
INT27) generates the same interrupt
request (IRQA).
Consequently, it is necessary to determine which pin the external interrupt input
corresponds to by reading the port data register (PDR0) before the input changes to H level.
Canceling the Stop mode by an interrupt is only possible for external interrupt circuits 1 and 2.
