Main LC99067-MA0 Functions
DSP for Sanyo Color CCDs (LC9997G)
Luminance system signal processing
— Luminance matrix reduces aliasing noise (Moire pattern noise)
— Knee processing based on the characteristics of the complementary color filters used
— Seven-tap low-pass filter
— Five-line approximation gamma correction circuit. All line intersection points can be adjusted.
— On-chip 1.5
× sampling frequency conversion circuit
Chrominance system signal processing
— Digital clamp circuits provided to prevent black balance discrepancies
— RGB signal formation using an 11-tap low-pass filter and a color multiplier matrix
— Auto white balance circuit
— Three-line approximation gamma correction circuit
— Color difference signal linear matrix. Allows color gradation adjustment.
— Color noise suppression circuit for low color saturation signals. The amount of suppression is adjustable.
— Circuit that suppresses the false-color signals that occur at edges and in high-intensity regions
— All the above functions use the baseband signal.
— On-chip 1.5
× sampling frequency conversion circuit
SSG
On-chip NTSC SSG. The reference clock has an 8fsc frequency of 28.63636 MHz.
Electronic Iris
All the circuits required for the electronic iris function (exposure time control using the electronic shutter function),
including the video signal integration circuit and exposure control circuit, are implemented with digital circuits, thus
allowing the LC99067-MA0 to provide stable control.
Support for five light metering patterns.
Full screen, center spot, lower half, center weighted, lower half weighted.
Supports long exposure times.
AGC
Gain control signals are generated by a digital control system linked to the electronic iris and an internal 7-bit D/A
converter.
The gain can also be set with digital parameters.
D/A Converter
The LC99067-MA0 includes an on-chip 8-bit D/A converter to output analog video signals.
Input and Output Modes
In addition to signals input from an LC99057, the LC99067-MA0 also accepts YUV input.
YUV, YUV (point sequential), and analog composite video outputs are provided.
Other Functions
Internal registers can be set over a 2-pin serial interface.
Standalone operation is also supported. In standalone mode some parameters can be adjusted from input pins.
