FM COIL
Single-phase FM coil is a small-type,high-performance differential mode choke coil for line noise filter,
made by using Fe-based nano-crystalline soft magnetic materials developed by Hitachi Metals Ltd.These
single-phase FM coils are endowed with unique characteristics and ensure excellent performance,compared
with the conventional diferential mode choke coils employing ferrite cores.

Has high inductance, compared with the conventional
differential mode choke coil of the same s ize - over
five times as high as at 10kHz and approximately
twice as high as at 100kHz.

Highly effective in reducing impulse noise due to a
high maximum flux density of 1.35T.

Has high impedance in a wider frequency band, due
to a smaller Q-value compared with that of differential
mode choke coils employing ferrite cores.
4.
Due t o a high Curie temperature of 570deg.C, the FM
coil manifests stable magnetic characteristics at a hi-
gher temperature range, comp ared with the differ-
ential mode choke coils employing Co-based amor-
phous cores, and its inductanc e does not drop as dramat-
ically as that of differential mode choke coils employing
ferrite cores at a lower temperature range.

As FINEMETs are nano crystalline materials, inductance
does not deteriorate dramatically as time goes by.

automatic vending machines, car electronics, high-vision
TVs, broadcasting equipments, medical equipments, etc.
