TAPE-BASED TAD CONTROLLER WITH DTMF REMOTE CONTROL
Preliminary
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
EM93610 is a highly-integrated tape-based answering machine controller in which control function and signal
amplification capability are integrated into a monolithic device. A melody generator, keyboard/ 7-segment
LED display interface, DAA circuit interface ( Ring detection, CPC detection and Hook control ), DTMF
receiver interface, tape deck mechanism interface, etc. are provided. Total component counts and production
cost can therefore be reduced.
The linear amplifier portion combines all necessary amplifiers with Automatic Level Control function for
signal amplification and conditioning, SCF based with full DTMF detection, differential output type power
amplifier, analog switches and digital attenuator, designed to provide the most integrated design for the Single
Deck Tape-Based Telephone Answering Device applications.
FEATURES
System clock frequency : 3.58 MHz.
Built-in waiting music and beep tone.
Directly drive 7-segment ( dot ) LED display and 7 buttons.
Pre-Amplifier for Tape Head, Microphone, Telephone Line signal amplification
Automatic Level Control to accommodate wide range of signal amplitude
Amplifier with adjustable gain by external components.
Line output amplifier and signal output amplifier.
Digital speaker volume control.
Differential output type power amplifier drive speaker directly.
DAA interface ( Ring detection, CPC ( Call party control ) detection and Hook control ).
Supports KYOWA KCD-2500 and MEC ML-756 deck mechanism including: motor driver, tape-end
detection and tape motion sensor.
Use micro cassette message tape to records for OGM1 ( out-going message ), OGM2 ( announce OGM only
), ICMs ( In-Coming Messages ) and memos.
Message playback. Fast forward, Rewind and stop during playback.
Automatic toll saver and selectable ring delays feature.
Call screening let you know who is calling before you answer.
Two way recording for recording telephone conversation for future reference.
VOX ( Voice Activated Message Recording ) detects call progress tone to avoid long blank tape, and save
recording time on message tape.
Ring sound generator.
Check or Change the security ( ID ) code and call break through ( CBT ) code.
Watch-dog-timer function.
