GENERAL DESCRIPTION
EM73895 is an advanced single chip CMOS 4-bit micro-controller. It contains 8K-byte ROM, 244-nibble RAM,
4-bit ALU, 13-level subroutine nesting, 22-stage time base, two independent 12-bit timer/counters and one data
pointer(DP) for the kernel function. EM73895 also contains 6 interrupt sources, 9 I/O ports (including 1 input
port, 1 output port and 7 bidirection ports), 2-level voltage detector, direct LCD driver (4 kinds : static, 1/2,
1/3, 1/4 programmable duty type), serial bidirection interface (SIO) and built-in watch-dog-timer counter.
For the application of telecom product, EM73895 also support user the beep tone function and DTMF function
and there is another additional 512x4 bits RAM for the repertory dailing data storage.
Except low-power consumption and high speed, EM73895 is a dual clock system, which can work both in dual
clock mode or slow clock mode (real time clock) for power saving.
EM73895 is suitable for application in telecom products and family appliances.

Clock source
: dual clock system is available .
The normal clock source is available for resonator, crystal or external clock source and
the frequency range is 480K/800K/960K/3.58M/3.84M/4M Hz by mask option .
The slow clock source is available for resonator or crystal by 32.768 KHz .
: 109 powerful instruction
Instructure cycle time : up to 2us for 4M Hz .
ROM capacity
: 8K x 8 bits .
RAM capacity
: 244 nibbles .
Two independent 12-bit timer/counters: programmable for event counter, timer and pulse width
measurement mode .
Built-in 22-stage time base counter .
Up to 13-level subroutine nesting .
Interrupt sources ( including 2 external interrupt sources, 2 timer/counter overflow interrupt sources,
1 time base interrupt source and 1 SIO interrupt source ).
Input port: 1 port (4 pins).
Port 0 (0..3): R-option with pull-up or pull-down, normal input port with none, pull-up or pull-down option.
All mask option can be selected independed for those 4 pins .
Output pin: 1 port (1 pin).
Port 20.0: mask option for push-pull or open-drain .
I/O port: 7 ports (24 pins).
Port 4, 5, 6, 7 : mask option for push-pull, open-drain or R-option .
Port 3, 8 ,9: mask option for push-pull or open-drain .
Beep tone function .
DTMF function (not available for slow operation mode).
Extended RAM of 512 nibbles for repertory dailing data storage .
LCD driver: support 1/4,1/3 ,1/2 and static programmable duty for 32 x 4 dots, 1/2 bias for 3.0V LCD and
1/3 bias for 4.5V LCD .
Power saving function: slow mode opertaion .
Serial bidirection interface (SIO): can transfer 4-bit data in or out by extrenal or internal clock with falling or
leading edge .
Built-in watch-dog-timer .
