fine-pitch microPackages. Dual versions save space and provide lower cost in
multi-channel applications.
Actual Package Sizes
Difference amps and instrumentation amps require precision resistors to perform their
intended function. A unity-gain difference amplifier constructed with a precision op amp
and 1% film resistors yields a scant 46dB common-mode rejection…h(huán)ardly precise! Even
0.1% resistors cannot achieve the performance of a quality integrated difference amp
because individual resistors do not drift the same over temperature. The on-chip
laser-trimmed film resistors in these modern difference and instrumentation amps track
precisely over temperature, maintaining accurate gain and CMR characteristics. Discrete
solutions simply don't measure up!
