AHA4501 TPC
WINDOWS EVALUATION SOFTWARE
AHA offers Windows
evaluation software for
system developers using the AHA4501 Turbo
Product Code device. The AHA4501 Windows
Evaluation Software emulates the functionality of
the AHA4501 Turbo Product Code
Encoder/Decoder integrated circuit.
This Windows
95 based software encodes and
decodes user data files. The encoding/decoding
performed in software exactly matches the
operation of the AHA4501 TPC integrated circuit.
Configuration control is provided using the same
parameters as the AHA4501 IC.
Performance of the AHA4501 device can be
modeled. Eb/No vs. BER (Bit Error Rate) curves
can be generated for all codes supported by the
AHA4501 device. Data rate, channel rate and
latency of the AHA4501 device can be computed
for all supported configurations.

Register compatible with AHA4501
Encodes and decodes user data files
Processes up to 10 blocks per file
Generates Eb/No vs. BER performance curves
Calculates channel rate, data rate and latency
Simulates all AHA4501 codes
Incorporates interleaving and deinterleaving
Generates Additive White Gaussian Noise
(AWGN)
FLEXIBILITY:
Emulates AHA4501 programmable features,
including block size, block code, iteration and
soft/hard decision input
Programmable block size from 256 to 4096 bits
Two or three dimensional block codes
Programmable number of iterations up to 32
Programmable quantization up to 6-bits for soft or
hard decision input data (decoding)
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
Windows
95 or Windows NT 4.0
Intel Pentium PC or higher
