equipmentdesignsutilizeSFP+cagesperSFF8432.
RF Immunity (Susceptibility)

TheAFBR-700SDZprovidesClass1(singlefaulttolerant)
eyesafetybydesignandhasbeentestedforcompliance

toinsertionintoanSFPcompliantcage.Toprotectthe
device,it’simportanttousenormalESDhandlingpre-
cautions. These include use of grounded wrist straps,
work-benchesandfloorwhereveratransceiverishan-
dled.
Thesecondcasetoconsiderisstaticdischargestothe
exteriorofthehostequipmentchassisafterinstallation.
Iftheopticalinterfaceisexposedtotheexteriorofhost
equipment cabinet, the transceiver may be subject to
systemlevelESDrequirements.
