Description
The AEDL Series linear encoders use high technology
transmissiveopticalencodingtechniquetodetectlinear
motion. There is no mechanical contact between the
scanningheadandthelinearscale,thuseliminatinger-
rorduetofrictionandalignmenterrors.

analoganddigitalelectricalsignals.Theencodercanbe
easily aligned and installed using the provided spacer-
clip and the self-adhesive mounting feature. Using
AvagoTechnologies’QuickStickmethod,theencoder
profilecanbeeasilyadjustedwhilethesystemisaligned
to the machine system. The Quick Stick method pro-
vides spacing foam that prevents the encoder profile
from sticking to the machine base until the alignment
has been performed. A pair of L-pins (setting pins) en-

Withstateofthearttechnologies,AvagoTechnologies’
linear encoders provide an ideal feedback control to
highprecisionmotionsystems.Thelinearencodersare
availableintwocolors,silverorblackanodized.
Applications
The AEDL Series linear encoder provides linear motion
detection,deliveringanaccurateandinsensitiveclosed-
loopcontrolsolution.
Typical applications:
 XYtablepositioning
 highprecisionmachines
 industrialplotter
 high-accuracymeasurements
 linearmotors
 robotics
 electronicsassemblyandinspection
