General Description
The ADC16R02 is realized in resistive ladder architecture.
The part operates from a single 5V supply. This 16 bit
ADC is designed to run in a continuous mode. After RST
signal is asserted high, the conversion begins. Each
conversion takes at most 22 clock-cycles. A 5 MHz input
clock corresponds to 28.4 kHz conversion rate. After one
conversion is completed a rising edge for valid signal is
used to latch 16 bits output. This valid signal is also used
to sample the input to start next conversion immediately. If
at any time the RST goes low, the chip will stay at reset.
The ADC16R02 operates at low power of typically less
than 2mW. This characteristic makes the ADC16R02 ideal
for the application in low-power portable devices.
