Designed to the European RAST standard, Molex now offers a comprehensive offering of
Glow-Wire compatible RAST connectors and headers for white good applications
RAST, the European standard connector for home
appliances, is now being adopted by appliance
manufacturers. The connector family incorporates a
range for crimp and IDT connectors and PCB headers.
With the addition of the RAST 2.50mm (.098”)
headers, Molex now offers a comprehensive range for
both connectors and headers to our customers.
Series 93070 performs at 32V on a 2.50mm (.098”)
pitch and Series 93071 headers are designed with a
5.00mm (.197”) pitch to perform to 240V. RAST is
an acronym for the German words Raster Anschluss

Steck Technik (roughly translated as Pitch Connection
Plug Technology). Generally, RAST is followed by a
numerical value which represents the contact centerline
spacing (in millimeters) for the interconnection.
The RAST vertical header housing material meets the
IEC 60335 Glow-Wire standard for 750C and meets
UL 94V-0 flammability requirements. The header is
designed to the RAST standard interface and can mate
with female connectors from the main RAST suppliers.
