Optic
Connector
integrates
the
benefits
of
light-wave
communications with the advantages
of electrical interconnection. It is
designed to permit fast, reliable self-
termination
of
plastic
optical
fiber...without need of special tools,
adhesives, or polishing. Featuring
built-in emitter-detector optodevices.
The
Active
Duplex
connector
converts
optical
signals
into
electronic signals in a standard “D”
sub-miniature compatible electronic
connector
configuration.
The
connector is ideal for both PC board
and panel-mounted I/O applications.
DESIGN ADVANTAGES
Compatible with 1mm diameter
plastic, duplex, optical fiber with an
individual cable OD of 2.25mm.
Terminates in seconds without
tools, adhesives, or polishing.
Suitable for terminating transmission
distance spans of up to 20 meters
at signal rates of 100Kb/sec. (NRZ).
Operating Temperature: 0C to 70C
Storage Temperature: -30C to
85C.
