(3) Sampling ratio (1)
Compression
Four sampling ratios are supported: 4:4:4 [H:V = 1:1], 4:2:2 [H:V = 2:1], 4:1:1 [H:V = 2:2],
and 4:1:1 [H:V = 4:1].
This information is appended to the JPEG header.
Expansion
Four sampling ratios are supported: 4:4:4 [H:V = 1:1], 4:2:2 [H:V = 2:1], 4:1:1 [H:V = 2:2],
and 4:1:1 [H:V = 4:1].
The sampling ratio used is automatically identified and, therefore, can be ignored by the
user.

data can be expanded at any point in VRAM, and also compressed
