Description
This register is used to configure the input data in-
terfaces. The register must be set before sending
data to the IC. The mapping of the register is de-
scribed below.
The two LSB of “SIN_SETUP” details which inter-
face will be used. The bit (bit two of SIN_SETUP)
is used to configure the polarity of the handshake
signal “REQ”. When the POL bit is high the “REQ”
pin meaning is inverted, and the data must be in-
put when “REQ” is “0”. When POL is low, The data
must be input when “REQ” is “1”. The data must be
sent to the device MSB first.

IMODE[1:0]:Input Mode
IMODE is used to configure the data input inter-
face. The configuration of the 3 possible interfaces
is shown below:
When the IC is configured in mode 3, the input
data comes from an A/D converter. In this case the
“CAN_SETUP” register is used to configure the IC
with respect to the A/D data format.

Description
CAN_SETUP is used to configure the STi4600
when receiving data from an A/D Convertor. Also
see SIN_SETUP register.

Description
Data can be fed into the STi4600 by using this reg-
ister instead of the dedicated interface. There is no
need to byte-align the bit-stream when using this
register.
