Output data representation and levels
Output data representation of the YUV data can be
modified by bit MCT (subaddress 10).
The DC gain is 1 for YUV input data. The corresponding
RGB levels are defined by the matrix equations. The
luminance levels are limited according to CCIR 601
16 (239) = black
235 (20) = white
(..) = greyscale luminance levels
if the YUV or monochrome luminance output formats are
selected.
The signal levels of the RGB formats are limited in 8-bit to
“0” or “255”. For the 5-bit RGB formats a truncation from
8-bit to 5-bit is implemented.
Fill values are inserted dependent on longword position
and destination size:
“0”
in RGB formats and for Y two’s complement U, V
“128” for U, V (straight binary)
“255” in 8-bit greyscale format
The unused output values of the YUV and greyscale
formats can be used for other purposes.
