MB86967
(5) CARDCR: LAN Card Control Register (Base address +10)
This is an external ROM control register that can be accessed only in the PC card mode.
8. Initializing Card (Using MB86967 in PC Card)
Immediately after the card is installed in the system, the IC memory card interface (memory card) is selected.
The following instructions describe how to switch to the I/O card interface:
a. The system reads card attribute data (CIS) for setting operating environments.
b. The data is written to the card configuration register (CCR).
At this time, the LAN controller is set to the 8-bit interface or 16-bit interface by setting the bit 5 (IOIS8) of
CCR1.
c. The Ethernet ID numbers read from CIS or I/O space are written.
Note: Switch from the I/O card interface to IC memory card interface by setting the external RESET pin or the
SRESET bit of CCR0.
