General Description
The IMI SM517 and SG518 products are designed
for use in TV video games.
The products are designed for use with a single
external crystal of 14.3 (SG517) and 17.7 (SG518)
MHz, providing to the user three independent clock
outputs.
The two clock outputs, CLK-A and CLK-B, are
derived from the reference crystal oscillator by using
Phase-Locked Loops (PLLs).
The third clock, CLK-C, is obtained by dividing the
reference crystal frequency by four (4).
The products include an on-chip loop filter (LF) to
reduce the number of external components and to
improve the manufacturing efficiency.
SG517 and SG518 are designed to meet required
NTSC and PAL standard clock frequencies.
The products are offered in an 8-pin SOIC (150mil)
package and operates from 0 to 70
°C temperature
range.
